Opening of New Tech Lounge in Carroll Street Bldg

Medgar Evers College SGA President, Dexter Gordon

What a great day it was at Medgar Evers College on November 12, 2015 when Student Government Association President, Dexter Gordon, welcomed an eager crowd ready to embrace the new, state of the art computer tech lab in the Carroll Street building of the Medgar Evers College Campus.

The importance of this new facility is that it brings Medgar Evers College into the new century of technology and twists the wheel, giving students access to technology that was not yet available. This project was made possible through tech fee funding.

Medgar Evers College President, Rudolph L Crew

President of the college, Rudolph L Crew said, “this new facility helps to close the gap at Medgar Evers College and makes a difference in this educational community and in the lives of the students.”

New computers with up-to-date hardware, software and applications, lounge tables and chairs with charging stations for phones and more. These were needed enhancements that as we can see were not overlooked. Change is inevitable and it is great when individuals with the power to make moves see a need that can be fulfilled to enhance the quality of someone else’s experience.
